Viral Singer from London Tube Goes on ‘Ellen’

Charlotte Awbery, the viral subway singer, will make her television debut on “The Ellen Show.” The singer/songwriter will appear on Wednesday’s episode and will sing the song that made her a viral sensation, Lady Gaga’s, Shallow.

Awbery was approached by digital creator, Kevin Freshwater, who asked her to finish the lyrics to the song as she was getting ready to get on the London Tube.

Charlotte told Ellen that her father told her to sing wherever she goes and to never give up, advice that has gotten her more singing gigs, a year pass on the London Tube and $10,000, courtesy of Ellen.
