Usher’s “New Look” Nonprofit To Contribute $500K For Financial Literacy

If you didn’t know, Usher founded his own nonprofit organization, “New Look”, in 1999 with his mother, Jonetta Patton and has since continued to grow.

Recently, “New Look” was granted $500,000 from the Truist Foundation for financial literacy education.

The funding will help young people in under-resourced communities with inadequate education in regards to budgeting, credit and debit.

The organization will create hands-on workshops about healthy financial habits.

Do you live in an area that could use financial literacy education? What financial advice do you have for a young adult who is just getting started on their own? What’s something about finances that you found out the hard way that you wish someone would have told you about?
