Timbaland Criticized For Comparing The Weeknd’s ‘Dawn FM’ Album To Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’

Twitter lit up after Timbaland gave his review of The Weeknd’s latest album, “Dawn FM,” calling it “different” and saying The Weeknd was on his “Thriller Ish,” when he made the album.

“Trust me when I tell you. And the way he dropped this shit—yo, congrats. This sh__ is amazing! This on some Thriller sh__”  said Timbaland.

To be clear Timbaland didn’t say “Dawn FM” was as good as Thriller, which is the second best selling album after The Eagles Greatest Hits, but Twitter felt the “Verzuz” co creator was tripping.

“Slow down, breh…it’s not Thriller level…it’s very great though,” tweeted @MalcolmLovejoy. Another user wrote, “Is it very great though??? I mean Thriller is the BEST SELLING ALBUM IN MUSIC HISTORY!!! Please let’s stop disrespecting Mike! Timbaland u def outta pocket.”
