Fresh off a stellar performance at the Super Bowl, The Weeknd is making more noise on the Billboard chart with his single, “Blinding Lights.”
The 2019 single has spent a full year in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. This is a second major accomplishment for Republic Records where The Weeknd resides with labelmate Post Malone who spent 39 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Blinding Lights” has also spent 43 weeks in the top 5. The Weeknd still has a ways to go to beat out Imagine Dragons’ record of 87 weeks with their song, “Radioactive.”
With all of The Weeknd’s accomplishments, do you think the Grammys should reverse their decision and have The Weeknd at the Grammys?
