The Weeknd Raises $5 Million For World Hunger Charity

Not only did The Weeknd recently make good on a concert he had to cancel earlier this year, but he’s also spreading some good around the world raising $5 million for world hunger.
The Weeknd raised the money while on tour and presented a check to the World Food Programme USA, of which he is a U.N. World Food Programme Goodwill Ambassador.
The money came in the form of a $1 donation from each ticket sale and a special t-shirt sold at his concert, with the sales going to the charity.
Directors and donors of the charity gave the fund $1 million, while Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange, gave $2 million.
