Survey Finds Thanksgiving Dinner Will Cost 14% More This Year

Americans will finally get to celebrate Thanksgiving in person this year – but that turkey and trimmings will cost quite a bit more.

A new survey from the American Farm Bureau Federation found that a typical Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people will cost $53.31 – that’s 14% more than last year’s average of $46.90.

Items with the biggest price increase include turkeys (24%), pie crusts (20%) and dinner rolls (15%).  Stuffing is the only item that fell in price this year – down 19% from 2020.

How much do you usually spend on Thanksgiving dinner?  Are you changing the menu this year because of how expensive things have gotten?
