Pharrell Williams Reveals How Naomi Campbell Inspired ‘Hollaback Girl’

Pharrell was a guest on Naomi Campbell’s No Filter with Naomi YouTube channel.
He told Naomi she was the inspiration for Gwen Stefani’s 2005 song Hollaback Girl that he co-wrote.
He said, you told somebody who was trying to speak to you ‘I’m sorry, I have a name like I’m not no hollaback girl’ and I thought that was so amazing and that ended up being the chorus to ‘Hollaback Girl’
