A 16-year-old Pennsylvania teen is your official Fortnite World Cup Champion – not to mention $3 million richer.

16-year-old Kyle Giersdorf, who goes by the online handle “Bugha”, topped the singles leaderboard at last weekend’s Fortnite World Cup, competing against 100 other competitors at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.

Two players going by “Nyrhox” and “Aqua” won the doubles bracket, taking home $1.5 million each.

Video game competitions, or ‘esports’, have become a billion-dollar industry in recent years.
