Nicki Minaj Refuses to Perform “Starships” at New Year’s Eve Event: ‘I Don’t Like It’

Nicki Minaj says she won’t perform “Starships” anymore.
On Sunday, December 31, the “Pink Friday 2” rapper headlined Miami nightclub E11EVEN to celebrate the New Year.
When “Starships” started playing, she stopped to address the crowd. “Psyche, psyche, psyche,” she muttered when the music stopped. “I don’t sing the song anymore.” The audience jeered, but she said, “I don’t like it, what y’all want me to do?”
She didn’t explain her decision to skip the track, but she posted photographs and videos from the performance on Instagram.
