In an upcoming episode of Nick Cannon’s daytime talk show, he asks how old children should be when they get cell phones.

During the conversation with the audience, Cannon explained he gave his 10-year-old twins, Rocco and Monroe, cell phones even though his ex-wife Mariah wasn’t happy about it.

Nick explained he thinks kids should get cell phones at eight, but Mariah had other thoughts, “Mariah was like, ‘Uh-huh. They ain’t gonna be Googling us, nuh-uh, learning about all their new brothers and sisters, no we ain’t playing.'” Nick said of Mariah.

But at the kids’ 10th birthday party Nick said he snuck his twins their cell phones by leaving the gifts then leaving the party before Mariah could find out.

How old should a child be to get a cell phone?
