Lizzo Tearfully Slams ‘Fatphobic,’ ‘Racist’ Haters As Cardi B And More Celebs Offer Support
Lizzo took to Instagram Live over the weekend with an emotional video slamming people who hate on her in her comments.
Lizzo is seen tearfully talking about people who she says are “fatphobic” and “racist” after @thefinefeminine tweeted about Lizzo being, “a mammy for the white gaze.”
Cardi quickly came to Lizzo’s defense tweeting, “Rumors is doing great. Stop trying to say the song is flopping to dismiss a woman emotions on bullying or acting like they need sympathy. The song is top 10 on all platforms. Body shaming and callin her mammy is mean & racist as f***.”
Chloe Bailey also came to Lizzo’s defense. Lizzo says even though she puts out positive energy she continues to get negativity thrown back at her. “Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you. Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table,” said Cardi.
