Little Mermaid: LIVE Coming to ABC in November

Before a live-action “Little Mermaid” makes it to the big screen, it’s going to be on the small screen.

ABC: “A live Little Mermaid special…”
Me: “Ok.”
ABC: “…based off of the Broadway show…”
Me: “Of course.”
ABC: “…with the voice of Moana as Ariel…”
Me: “Go on.”
ABC: “…Queen Latifah as Ursula…”
Me: “I’m listening…”
ABC: “…and reggae artist Shaggy as Sebastian!”

ABC has announced that a live-action remake of the Disney tale is coming to the network on November 5 to mark the film’s 30th anniversary.

Auli’l Cravalho from “Moana” will play Ariel, Queen Latifah will play Ursula, and Shaggy will play Sebastian the Crab.

With Shaggy as Sebastian, we’ll hopefully get this remix: Under the sea,
Under the sea,
Down where it’s wetter,
Darling, it’s better,
It wasn’t me.
