Lil Nas X Just Topped DaBaby As Spotify’s Most Streamed Male Rapper

Lil Nas X is celebrating ahead of his highly anticipated album, “Montero” to be released. The “Industry Baby” rapper has the most streams on Spotify with 52,318,623 monthly listeners.
Lil Nas X jumped ahead of DaBaby, who currently sits at 51,749,552 monthly listens. DaBaby has suffered since going on a homophobic rant at last month’s Rolling Loud festival in Miami. Some stations have pulled his music and he’s lost out on many scheduled performances.
Meanwhile, Lil Nas X was surprised by the jump on Spotify tweeting, “Wow this is insane. This is the most I’ve ever had in my career. thank u to everybody listening.”
Lil Nas X has yet to confirm the release date for “Montero.”
