According to Akademiks, who shared a screenshot of the conversation, Kanye West fired a “Donda” engineer via text.
West sent a text to the engineer at 9:34am with, “Good morning. Let’s work”. When West didn’t get a response after about two hours, he sent another text to the engineer saying, “You’re fired. Go home”.
The engineer responded with a long apology including, “I’m really sorry. I have no excuse. I set an alarm for 7:30am. And for whatever reason my phone wasn’t alerting me”.
Ye wasn’t having it and text back with, “Stop texting. Go find God”.
Should West have given the engineer another chance? Have you ever been fired via text? Have you been fired for being late?
