Kanye West sues Walmart for Shoe Rip-Off
Kanye West and his Yeezy Brand are suing Walmart for ripping off their Foam Runner shoe.
The shoe Walmart is selling is way cheaper than Kanye’s version, but Kanye claims that customers are confused on whether they are buying the real Foam Runner or a knock-off.
Kanye claims that Walmart is costing him hundreds of millions of dollars in sales because of their ripped-off version.
A company spokesperson said in a statement, “The product referenced in the complaint is not sold by Walmart, but rather by third party Marketplace sellers. We take allegations like this seriously and are reviewing the claim. We will respond in court as appropriate after we have been served with the complaint.”
