Jay-Z and Beyoncé could make Oscar history as the first couple to compete for the same award.
Jay-Z could be nominated for The Harder They Fall’s title song, which he co-wrote with the movie’s director, Jaymes Samuel, for Jamaican singer, Koffee.
He could also be nominated for “Guns Go Bang” which he wrote and performed alongside Kid Cudi.
The Harder They Fall is coming to Netflix in November and was co-produced by Jay. Beyoncé could also find herself competing against her husband with her song, “Be Alive” which was featured in the movie King Richard, which chronicles rising tennis stars, Venus and Serena Williams.
Do you think the academy will pit Jay-Z and Beyoncé against one another for best song at this year’s Oscar awards?
