A new generation discovered that Eminem and Mariah Carey once had beef, thanks to TikTok.

In Eminem’s song “Superman,” he claimed to have dated Mariah Carey for six months, a claim she viciously denied. Mariah fired back with a diss song aimed at Eminem called “Obsessed.”

Eminem also dissed Mariah’s then-husband, Nick Cannon, in a song called “Bagpipes Over Baghdad” and “The Warning.”

In Mariah’s “Obsessed” video, there is a shadowy figure with a hoodie on that fans thought resembled Eminem. This prompted the Detroit rapper to release “The Warning” and Nick Cannon to respond, calling the song “A mediocre (at best) Eminem record that sounds like it was written in 2001. At first, I thought it was old material that had been dug up when the guy was ‘fantasizing’ about having a fake affair with Mariah. But suddenly, I hear my name in the verse! My first reaction was like, ‘That’s his new sh—? Wow, that’s a shame. I thought we were past the days of white men swearing at our beautiful queens with vulgar profanities and getting away with it.”

Which artist beef were you engulfed in?
