Chris Brown Faces $2 Million Suit Over Defaulted Popeyes Chicken Loan

A lawsuit against Chris Brown is being filed because of an unpaid debt that was used to buy two Popeyes restaurants.

The City National Bank is suing Brown for $2 million, alleging that it gave him money to buy two Popeyes restaurants. According to the complaint, the loan, which was extended to a number of persons, including Brown and The-Dream, has not yet been repaid.

The documents said, “As of February 17, 2023, Borrower and Guarantors owe $2,140,901.74 in unpaid principal and interest.”

City National Bank, which has been suing Brown since 2018 to recover their money, has already prevailed in Georgia with a default judgment against the singer.
