Billboard Sets Off Drake Vs. Michael Jackson Debate – With Numbers To Back It Up

Billboard has set social media ablaze as it tried to compare Drake’s success to that of Michael Jackson, here are the numbers they used to back up the debate.

With Drake’s album, Certified Lover Boy, his songs “Way 2 Sexy,” “Girls Want Girls,” “Fair Trade,” “Champagne Poetry” and “Knife Talk” sit at numbers one through five on the Hot 100 chart this ties him with the Beatles 57-year-old record for as the only act to hold the top five in a single week.

Drake has nine tracks that sit in the top 10 of the chart dated September 18th which breaks MJ’s record for most top tens from the same album, which remained undefeated for 37 years, until now.

Fans defended Michael Jackson with photos of swarms of people who often followed Jackson as he moved about. Others quoted Michael’s impressive record of the 120 million “Thriller” records sold, five best-selling albums, his chart appearances since he was 11, calling him the most successful artist of all time.

What do you think? Is Drake just as or more successful than Michael Jackson?
