A Hannah Montana Prequel is In the Works

Billy Ray Cyrus says that a Hannah Montana prequel may be coming soon. Cyrus, who played Robby Stewart and his rockstar alter ego Robbie Ray in the Disney show, says that he would do a prequel “in a heartbeat.”

Cyrus says the biggest reason for returning to the Disney show would be to “get my mullet back.” The original show about the Stewart family ran from 2006-2011 and starred Miley Cyrus, who hasn’t announced that she would make a return.

The cast has been in contact with each other and Cyrus says “anything is possible.” Fans of Hannah Montana are speculating that the prequel will be streamed on Disney+ like the spinoff, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
