A 100-Year-Old Woman Is Officially the World’s Oldest Powerlifter

Edith Murway-Traina is kind of amazing.

At 100-years-old, Murway-Traina became the world’s oldest powerlifter!

Murway-Traina first joined her gym when she was a spry 91 and recalls going in “kicking and screaming.”

Obviously she loves it now, celebrating her August 8 birthday by entering the Guinness World Records.

In their statement, Guinness World Records writes, “Lifting weights upwards of 40-150 pounds, Edith is smashing the competitive powerlifting circuit, dazzling viewers and judges alike with her graceful lifts.”

How active do you expect to be when you’re 100? How much weight can you lift?
